The Lost Red Sock has existed for over 30 years collectively selling second hand goods. Originally called Stanyers, the second owner took on a partner whose business in Mitchell street was called The Lost Red Sock. So they became known as The Lost Red Sock @ Stanyers. When Michael bought the business, he heard so many customers comment on the quaintness of the name that he decided to leave it just as THE LOST RED SOCK. |

Our trusted leader is a man of vision and ideas. He is passionate about people and good service. Personable and approachable, Michael is the embodiment of the saying "A spade is a spade!" There is never pressure to purchase just to make a sale. Shopping in his store is a leisurely experience and he loves a chin wag. If you're short on time ask him or his wife for assistance to find your treasure in this wondrous Aladdin's cave (or to be more apt, Michael's cave!).

Right hand navigator to the trusted leader, she loves the opportunity to lighten our carbon footsteps by recycling goods. Enthusiastic and creative, she freely shares her excitement and flair with customers, exploring with them the guilt-free possibilities for remodeling their purchase (let's face it; no-one would calmly slap a coat of paint on a 19th century solid oak sideboard!). Ghislaine is passionate about assisting customers to search for the perfect piece, relishing the opportunity to "step inside their mind" and sometimes, outside the square!
